What is MSC Malaysia status?
MSC Malaysia status is a recognition granted by the Malaysian government for companies that meet the qualifying criteria to operate in the Multimedia Super Corridor. Companies with MSC Malaysia status enjoy special incentives. Shared services and outsourcing companies who wish to enjoy the incentives will need meet the SSO criteria for the MSC Malaysia status.
How do I apply for MSC Malaysia status?
Companies are encouraged to contact the SSO team directly if the primary activities of the company are related to shared services and outsourcing. For other ICT activities that are non-SSO related, please contact our CLient Contact Centre. The Client Services Division will assign an account manager to advise companies on the requirements and processes to obtain an MSC Malaysia status.

The Enterprise Development (ED) team will take over your account from the Business Development team and continue to work with you to grow your SSO business in MSC Malaysia. Examples of the initiatives includes: assistance in quality certification and accreditation programmes, market access and business matching.
What are the roles of the Markets & Partners (MnP) team in MDeC's SSO department?
In general, our Markets & Partners (MnP) team has 2 key roles: (1) develop innovative marketing campaigns to generate leads (2) develop partnership with the mover and shaker of the industry. The partner team also works closely with the Enterprise Development (ED) team to further the growth of SSO industry in Malaysia .
